Cloud Architect

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join an industry-leading insurance company in London. As a Cloud Architect, you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and overseeing sophisticated cloud solutions, driving our client’s digital transformation and enhancing operational resilience and scalability.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and robust cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into innovative cloud architectures.
• Lead the migration of existing platforms to cloud-based infrastructure.
• Define and implement best practices, standards, and governance around cloud architecture.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and provide technical leadership and mentorship to the wider engineering team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, ideally within insurance or financial services.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience designing high-availability, secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (GDPR, FCA, PRA).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
