Legal Technologist
Job Description
Are you a Legal Technologist looking to work at real scale, on complex, high-profile matters, with a firm that genuinely backs its innovation agenda with investment and senior buy-in?
Our client is one of the UK’s leading national law firms, and they’re looking for a mid-level Legal Technologist to join their technology function and help shape the way legal services are delivered across the business. This is a role for someone who enjoys building and coding solutions as much as delivering them, and who wants to see the direct impact of their work across a large, ambitious organisation.
The Role
You’ll work closely with practice groups and stakeholders across the firm to design, build and optimise technology solutions that make legal services smarter and more efficient.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and enhancing automated solutions using document automation platforms and HighQ
- Designing and maintaining smart document templates and collaboration workflows
- Partnering with lawyers and partners to understand business challenges and translate them into practical technology solutions
- Working across teams including IT, Knowledge and Business Development to deliver joined-up innovation
- Keeping pace with developments in legal tech, AI and automation and bringing new ideas to the table
About You
You’ll have 3–6 years’ experience in a legal technology role and a genuine passion for building solutions, not just implementing them.
You’ll bring:
- Hands-on experience with document automation tools and HighQ
- Strong technical skills with the confidence to build and code solutions from scratch
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including Partners
- A curious, proactive mindset and a genuine interest in how technology can transform legal services
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at national scale within a firm that sees legal technology as central to its future.
