Job Description
Project Manager needed for a large professional services firm delivering two critical projects as part of their ongoing digital transformation.
They’re looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead the delivery of:
- An internally developed application, managing all aspects from development through deployment
- A Workday implementation, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
This role sits within an established PMO and offers the chance to manage complex projects simultaneously, balancing technical delivery with business needs.
The role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving both projects through their full lifecycle – from planning and execution to handover and support transition.
You’ll ensure robust governance, actively manage risks and issues, maintain stakeholder engagement, and deliver outcomes aligned with organisational objectives.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the delivery of the internal application project alongside the Workday implementation
- Producing and maintaining project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and governance documentation
- Applying appropriate project management methodologies and ensuring effective change control
- Coordinating cross-functional teams including internal business users, technical specialists, and external suppliers
- Managing risks, dependencies, and escalations proactively
- Supporting testing, user acceptance, and transition to operational teams
- Providing clear, timely updates to senior stakeholders and PMO leadership
- Facilitating workshops and planning sessions as required
What they’re looking for
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects in complex environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leadership and external suppliers
- Familiarity with Workday implementations or similar ERP/HRIS projects is highly desirable
- Experience delivering projects within professional services or regulated sectors advantageous
- Skilled in structured project methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid approaches
- Excellent risk, issue, and change management capabilities
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences clearly and confidently
