Power BI Developer 

Job Description

We’re working with a leading national professional services firm who are investing heavily in data and analytics. As part of their growth, they’re looking for a Power BI Developer to join the team and help deliver high-impact reporting solutions across the business.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in designing, building, and optimising Power BI dashboards that provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders. Working closely with business units such as finance, operations, and client services, you’ll translate data into meaningful stories that inform decision-making at every level.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Collaborate with business teams to capture requirements and deliver user-friendly solutions.
• Optimise data pipelines and ensure data quality, accuracy, and governance.
• Use DAX and Power Query to build robust calculations and data transformations.
• Support the integration of Power BI with wider Microsoft stack tools (Azure, SQL, SharePoint, Power Platform).
• Advise on best practices and contribute to the firm’s data strategy.

About You

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or BI Analyst.
• Strong DAX, Power Query, and data modelling skills.
• Background in professional services (legal, accounting, consultancy) is desirable, but not essential.
• Comfortable working with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or SQL Server would be an advantage.
