Business Analyst
Job Description
We’re working with an enterprise sized organisation that’s delivering a broad programme of IT and business change as part of a new technology strategy.
They’re looking to appoint a Business Analyst to join their Business Solutions team, supporting the delivery of technology-enabled change across a range of systems and services.
This is a hands-on analysis role, working closely with stakeholders, IT teams, in-house developers and third-party suppliers to ensure requirements are well defined, understood and delivered against clear business outcomes.
The role
As Business Analyst, you’ll work across multiple initiatives, helping to shape requirements, assess feasibility, and support delivery from early analysis through to testing, go-live and review.
You’ll be comfortable working in a change environment, able to see beyond individual tasks to understand dependencies, impacts and priorities across a wider programme of work.
What you’ll be doing
- Working with stakeholders, users, IT teams and suppliers to gather, analyse and document business requirements
- Translating user needs into clear functional specifications and prioritised backlogs
- Supporting system enhancements and change initiatives through the full lifecycle
- Working with developers and suppliers to clarify requirements and support delivery
- Producing test plans, coordinating testing activity and supporting sign-off
- Contributing to business cases, including costs, benefits and feasibility
- Ensuring analysis considers security, data protection and confidentiality requirements
- Maintaining high-quality documentation to support decision-making and delivery
What they’re looking for
- Proven experience working as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar analysis role
- Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills
- Experience supporting system change or technology projects
- Good understanding of IT environments such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, infrastructure or cloud services
- Comfortable working with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery approaches
- Confident communicator, able to work with both technical and non-technical audiences
Line management experience and exposure to tools such as Power Apps, Visio or SharePoint would be beneficial, but are not essential.
Why consider it
- Purpose-driven organisation with long-term investment in technology
- Varied analysis work across meaningful, real-world services
- Supportive team environment with scope to grow
- Strong benefits package typical of the housing sector
- Hybrid working model
If you’re a Business Analyst looking for a stable role with genuine impact and breadth, this is a strong opportunity.
