Job Description

We’re working with a large enterprise sized organisation that’s delivering a broad programme of IT and business change as part of a new technology strategy.

They’re looking to appoint an IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology and transformation projects across the organisation, working closely with internal teams, third-party suppliers, and senior stakeholders.

This role sits within an established PMO and offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end delivery across a varied portfolio of IT and digital initiatives.

The role

As IT Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing projects through their full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to delivery, handover and transition into business as usual.

You’ll ensure projects are well governed, risks are actively managed, stakeholders are engaged, and outcomes align with both business objectives and technical requirements.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the delivery of IT and business change projects from start to finish
  • Producing and maintaining core project artefacts including plans, RAID logs, reports and governance documentation
  • Applying appropriate project management methodologies and change control
  • Coordinating internal technical teams, business users and third-party suppliers
  • Managing risks, issues, dependencies and escalations effectively
  • Supporting testing, sign-off and transition into operational support
  • Providing clear, regular updates to senior stakeholders
  • Facilitating workshops and cross-functional planning sessions as required

What they’re looking for

  • Proven experience delivering projects in an IT or technology-led environment
  • Strong track record managing cross-functional teams and external suppliers
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leaders
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Experience using structured project management approaches such as PRINCE2, Agile or Scrum
  • Solid risk, issue and dependency management capability

Experience delivering change in complex or regulated environments would be beneficial.

Why consider it

  • Purpose-driven organisation with long-term investment in technology
  • Varied project portfolio with real organisational impact
  • Strong benefits package typical of the housing sector
  • Hybrid working and a stable, well-established PMO

If you’re an experienced IT Project Manager looking for a role that offers stability, meaningful delivery and scope, this is a strong opportunity.
