Job Description

We’re working with a UK law firm that’s continuing to invest in its legal technology and innovation capability. They’re looking to appoint a Legal Technologist to support the delivery, configuration, and ongoing improvement of technology-enabled legal solutions used by lawyers and clients.

This is a hands-on role, sitting close to legal teams, focused on using technology to improve how legal work is delivered in practice.

The Role

You’ll be involved in the day-to-day delivery and support of legal technology solutions, including:

  • Configuring and maintaining legal tech platforms used for repeatable legal work
  • Supporting document automation, workflow tools, and data capture solutions
  • Working with lawyers to understand requirements and translate them into practical system changes
  • Helping improve processes, reporting, and visibility across matters and projects
  • Supporting the rollout and adoption of new tools and ways of working
  • Liaising with internal IT, innovation, and external vendors where needed

The role is delivery-focused rather than purely strategic. You’ll be expected to get hands-on with systems and work closely with end users.

What They’re Looking For

They’re open on background, but are likely to be interested in people with:

  • Experience working with legal technology in a law firm or legal services environment
  • Exposure to tools such as document automation, case management, workflow, or client-facing legal platforms
  • A good understanding of how legal teams work day to day
  • Confidence working with lawyers and non-technical stakeholders
  • A practical, problem-solving mindset

You don’t need to have held the title Legal Technologist before. Experience from roles such as Legal Engineer, Legal Operations, Innovation, or legal systems support could all be relevant.

Why Consider It

  • Opportunity to work closely with lawyers on real legal delivery challenges
  • A role with genuine hands-on system exposure, not just process mapping
  • A firm that is investing in legal tech rather than talking about it

If you’d like to talk through the role in more detail, or get a sense of how it compares to similar Legal Technologist positions in the market, get in touch.
