Job Description

We’re working with a well-established UK law firm to recruit a Finance Systems Analyst to join their finance function at a time of continued systems and data development.

This is a key role supporting the firm’s finance and wider business teams, with responsibility for the day-to-day support, configuration and ongoing improvement of core finance systems.

The Role

As Finance Systems Analyst, you’ll provide 2nd and 3rd line support across a suite of finance tools, with a particular focus on Aderant (practice management system), alongside expense and reconciliation platforms. You’ll play an important part in ensuring data integrity, user access management and the effective use of finance systems across the business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting finance systems users across the firm, acting as a subject matter expert
  • Managing user access, permissions and system changes
  • Troubleshooting issues and providing training and guidance to end users
  • Supporting system upgrades, enhancements and new software implementations
  • Assisting with system integrations and process improvements
  • Ensuring data accuracy and producing relevant reports
  • Contributing to ongoing projects aimed at improving financial data and reporting

This role offers genuine scope to influence how finance systems are used and developed, with multiple projects currently underway and planned.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong blend of systems knowledge and finance understanding, ideally from a professional services environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience supporting and configuring a practice management system (Aderant highly desirable)
  • A solid understanding of finance processes and data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A structured, process-driven approach with a pragmatic mindset
  • The confidence and communication skills to work closely with senior stakeholders

Desirable (but not essential):

  • SQL skills
  • Experience with system testing and implementations
  • Background in the legal sector
  • Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
